Telephone Surveys

Answers Research recognizes the value of including a telephone approach when designing and implementing our clients' research studies. High international telephone penetration rates make this an ideal fielding method to include in a study with a global scope. Additionally, while rising worldwide Internet penetration rates are closing in on this claim, indiscriminately recruited phone studies are still the best way to achieve a true random sample.

Our telephone surveys are conducted using state of the art computer aided telephone interview (CATI) programming. In addition to monitoring, pretests are routinely conducted to ensure the objectives of the study are being met with the survey design.

Depending upon the specific needs of our clients, we may recommend that a study be conducted solely via phone, online with a telephone recruit, or via a mixed methodology of phone and Web or mail. Regardless of the extent to which phone contact is included in a study's design, we understand that a study's validity relies upon the respondents obtaining clear information from our interviewers and recruiters.

By using only experienced interviewers and implementing hybrid methodologies when appropriate, we are able to supply timely and actionable data to our valued clients. We encourage our clients to monitor interviews throughout the fielding process. To facilitate this, we ensure that the fielding houses with which we partner provide a line that is available to our staff at all times for monitoring purposes.

To discuss the evolution of this critical fielding methodology, Answers Research staff regularly publishes articles in leading marketing research publications.
